The Mactan-Cebu International Airport ("MCIA") is the gateway to the Visayas and Mindanao regions in the Philippines. As the second busiest airport in the country, MCIA caters to a rapidly growing passenger base, including both tourists and business travelers.

GMR, in partnership with Megawide Construction Corporation, has been instrumental in operating and developing MCIA, enhancing its capacity and passenger experience since 2014. As of October 2024, GMR has completed the transfer of its entire stake in Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (the operator of MCIA) to Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc. GMR will continue to provide technical services for MCIA until December 2026 and remains committed to ensuring operational excellence at MCIA, supporting its growth as a key aviation hub in the region.
